Stop asking me why I am polyamorous.
Why are you monogamous? Probably because just you are...right? Or maybe it was the way you were raised, your religion, or just how you manage relationships. Regardless, I am polyamorous just because I am.
Sometimes the curiosity is fine, but a lot of times it comes off as polyamorous people having to prove our identities and love style to monogamous people according to their standards. Every encounter with a polyam person is not an interview opportunity.
For some of us, polyamory was not a choice, merely something we felt. Explaining "why" we are polyamorous is cryptic and impossible sometimes.
We just are.
